Cordie Micah Qualle, LMFT

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist  |  MFC53996

My name is Cordie Micah Qualle, but my clients just call me 'Micah.' As a therapist,  I work collaboratively with my clients to help them improve their control of their emotional and mental lives in order to overcome challenges and meet their goals in life.  My professional development has put me in a unique position to help my clients do this.

I graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX with a BA in Psychology in 2004 and from the Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary in 2008 with a MA in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling.  My work experience in that time has included a group home setting as well as psychiatric crisis, juvenile probation and outpatient therapeutic treatment of children and adolescents.  Throughout these different positions, I have used Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to provide the support and relief that clients need to move forward in their lives and relationships.

I work primarily through  Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with clients to help access their brain's inherent ability to successfully process trauma. The result through our collaborative effort in treatment is happier, healthier and more balanced lives for my clients, their families and their communities. I also continue to lean on techniques I have employed for many years, drawing from a combination of Dialetical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques (such as mindfulness, emotional regulation skills, problem solving and behavior plans) to help my clients to develop the skills necessary to overcome struggles such as transitions into difference stages of life, substance abuse, obsessive pornography use, depression, anxiety, self-harming behaviors, suicidal thoughts and attempts, explosive anger, oppositional defiance, conflict in relationships and trouble maintaining focus and behavior in school. I particularly enjoy working with male clients between 16 and 25, helping them navigate what it means to be a strong and successful force for good in the world in the face of significant challenges we face in today's culture. I also very much enjoy working with clients as they attempt to make sense of their faith journey through their life.

My Fees:

  • Individual, Couple, or Family Session (50 mins) $100

  • Insurance Accepted: Fresno County Medical
