Would you like to feel more present in your life and body?
Are you looking for ways to relax and reduce stress?
Have you heard about the numerous health benefits that mindfulness meditation offers?
Did you know that you can train your attention towards emotional states like happiness,
gratitude and compassion?
Come and join us for an evening of "breathing and being!" Mindful meditation is the art of training your mind to focus and be present with your moment-to-moment experience using a gentle and friendly quality of attention.
Many people think that meditation is about “doing nothing.” The truth is that meditation simply requires us to tune into ourselves and be present with our inner experience. During mindful meditation, we use our 5 senses to deepen and expand our experience. We use the breath to anchor attention and calm the “thinking” mind. Through this process, we strengthen our "noticing
brain" and begin to recognize negative thought patterns, decrease emotional reactivity, set positive intentions and come into alignment with the person we want to be and the life we want to live.
"Mindfulness helps you go home to the present. And every time you go there and recognize a condition of happiness that you have, happiness comes."
~ Thich Nhat Hanh
